HoldLINE Back to the app

Privacy

Last updated 17 August 2026. Applies to the HoldLINE app and to holdline.fit.

The short version: the app has no server. Every set, hold, readiness check and weight entry is written to your own phone and stays there. There is no account, no login, and nothing to upload. We cannot see your training, because there is nowhere for it to arrive.

The app

What it stores, and where

HoldLINE stores everything locally, in the storage area iOS gives each app. That includes:

None of it is transmitted. The app does not contain analytics, advertising, crash reporting or any third-party tracking code, and it does not ask for a name or an email address.

Health-related data

Bodyweight and the readiness check are health-related and deserve saying out loud: they are treated exactly like everything else, meaning they are written to your phone and go nowhere. HoldLINE does not read from or write to Apple Health.

Your backup file

The app can write a backup file containing all of the above. You start that yourself, you choose where it goes, and from that moment the file is yours to look after. It is plain readable text, so you can open it and check what is in it.

One thing that is worth knowing

If iCloud Backup is switched on for your phone, iOS includes app data in its own backups. That is Apple's mechanism, not ours, and it is what lets your training survive a new phone. It also means a copy exists in your iCloud account, under Apple's terms rather than these. You can exclude apps from iCloud Backup in the iOS settings.

Permissions

HoldLINE asks for permission to send notifications, and only if you switch training reminders on. Nothing else is requested. The app has no camera, microphone, location or contacts access.

Deleting everything

Menu, then Start over. It removes every set, goal, readiness check and weight entry from the phone. Deleting the app removes the rest. Since nothing was ever sent anywhere, there is nothing left for us to delete on your behalf.

This website

Where this site runs

holdline.fit is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. on a server in the European Union. Nothing about this site is transferred outside the EU.

Server logs

The hosting provider records the usual technical information when a page is requested: IP address, time, the page, the referring page and the browser identification. This is what makes it possible to run a website at all and to notice attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure site, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. These logs are kept short-term by the provider and are not combined with anything else.

The site uses no cookies, no analytics and no embedded content from other companies. Nothing here follows you.

The mailing list

If you enter your email address to hear when the beta opens, that address is stored on the same EU server and is used for exactly one thing: telling you when it opens. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. There is no newsletter, no marketing schedule and no sharing with anyone.

You can withdraw at any time by writing one line to support@holdline.fit, and the address is deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to know what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to it, and to receive it in a portable form. For the app, the honest answer to most of these is that we hold nothing: the data is on your phone and under your control. For the mailing list, write to the address above.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Denmark that is Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk.

Children

HoldLINE is a training log for people who train. It is not directed at children and collects nothing that would identify anyone.

Changes

If the app ever gains an account or a server, this page changes before that feature ships, not after. The date at the top says when it was last touched.
